@Captain_Deltic I suggested this yrs ago when I worked at a train operator that has recently introduced some new LHCS as a means to provide additional revenue off peak/week ends. It was filed by then exec as a distraction and too difficult. So they didn’t and perhaps lost marginal revenue £.

Could something similar be done with traction and rolling stock, I wonder? i suggested slipping a heritage train unannounced into regular service as part of the Rail 200 celebrations

The @londonbusmuseum turned Route 38 into a living archive today, sending RTL554, RT1, RM1, a strong RT and RM contingent, Ipswich 9 and Titan T961 between Victoria and Clapton Pond. A refined spectacle throughout. Great to see @MarcJF241.

@TheRyanHamilton hey, Joyrider supported @terrorvision in the 1990s, I remember it, but couldn’t remember the tour. The web tells me it was HTMF&IP. Unbelievably 30+ yrs ago. Great show on @JorvikRadio (listening on catch up at work).

Galling that Rantzen uses ‘religious people’ as shorthand for ‘bigoted and wrong’. Religious people use their effort and resources- even when limited- to run schools, food banks & hospices. She uses her sizeable supplies of both to shout down the voices of the sick and the poor.

Customary enjoyment of the @Madz_Grant column in @spectator but must argue Williams’ best work was in recordings for the scripture union. His telling of the phrase “…this is my son, the beloved in whom I am well pleased…”moved me to tears the first time I heard it.

I’n watching the shenanigans of UK government from a long way afar (West Bengal, India) and it is telling how we are judged abroad. And from lots international travel last year; not just confined to India. In informal conversation I’m often asked about the state of the country.

When Tory PMs fell- who, for the record I think were disgraceful incompetents but not Paedo adjacent- bishops yapped like chihuahuas. Now they are totally quiet. Why?
