@radboudumc_weet @radboudumc @CasvdMade @ahoischen I think it is very important to take FUT2 into account as well. It might not be the blood group O antigens/glycans that are protective, but the lack of secretion of bloodgroup A glycans in mucosa eg.. Which is true for bloodgroup O and FUT2 non secretors. twitter.com/JosetteSchoenm…

Mensen die geen bloedgroep A en/of B antigenen uitscheiden in hun speeksel (en longen/darmen etc.) hadden significant minder kans om Covid-19 te ontwikkelen. Dat zijn dus mensen die bloedgroep O hebben en/of FUT2 non secretors zijn. (En voor mij geldt beide. 🙂)
