Children in Lubbock, Texas were admitted to the hospital with liver damage. Not from measles. From vitamin A toxicity — because their parents followed RFK Jr.’s advice and gave them cod liver oil to treat measles. He is the sitting U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services. This is not the first time this has happened. In 2019, RFK Jr. traveled to Samoa and ran the same anti-vaccine campaign. Vaccination rates dropped to 31%. Five months later: 5,700 cases. 83 dead. Most of them children under 4. He called it a “natural experiment.” The Senate confirmed him as HHS Secretary anyway. yahoo.com/news/after-rfk… 🧵1/3

Texas does not need more taxpayer-funded spending on energy, healthcare, water, dementia institutes, movie subsidies, roads, or anything else called “investment.” Texans are already paying too much for governments at the state and local levels that have grown far beyond their limited roles. If the real goal is liberty and lasting prosperity, then the answer is not bigger budgets with more politically branded spending. The answer is to spend less, privatize more, and put Texas on a clear path to eliminating property taxes. That will take courage, discipline, and a willingness to stop confusing government expansion with conservative reform. The state funds budget has grown by 42% over the last two budget cycles, far above the roughly 25% increase in population growth plus inflation. That is not fiscal restraint. It is big-government conservatism laced with populism, and it will not end well if Texas keeps heading down this road. Texas has many advantages, but we should not rest on our laurels. We do not need more government management of the economy. We need less spending, lower taxes, stronger private property rights, and more room for families, entrepreneurs, and communities to solve problems without political interference. Spend less, prosper more. Privatize things like water, roads, and energy. Let people prosper. Glad to chat. Wreck em!
