@geraldvdheide The documentary wasn’t out to prove, but rather to follow up on the messages leaked by #Otten. It did a good job at showing the connections between #Baudet and people close to the Kremlin. Though, just like you, I would welcome a parliamentary enquiry to reveal all the facts.

@harrold94 Of course, revealing the WhatsApp messages is also a move from #Otten to clear his image, but that does not take away the argument. The fact that #Baudet was nearly at a lack of words in the interview is indicative of the serious nature of what was revealed.

@harrold94 I watched the documentary with great interest and was not surprised to find the same pattern that @TimothyDSnyder eloquently unveils in #RoadtoUnfreedom. I found it to be a balanced piece of journalism that gave a voice to the different parties being mentioned.

Just came back from Durham, giving the keynote lecture for #DiggingPolitics on how history and archaeology can act to encourage the circular economy and concretely build a European identity. Caused quite a stirr.

@EU_Commission The pressure of Germany and France on the choice of the next President of the European Commission is undermining the #EUelections2019 .The EU managed to motivate many people to vote. Now it needs to show that their vote matters, rather than the national interest of big countries.

The European elections were the tangible proof that European democracy is alive and well. The highest turnout in 20 years is testament to the active involvement of Europeans who are engaging, participating and shaping the future of our Union. #EP2019
