Growing up includes realizing that the popular jocky frat bros are usually popular because they’re cool and fun to hang out with and that nerds are often not diamonds in the rough and are rather unpleasant and off putting in character as well as appearance.
𝔐𝔽𝓩@mean_field_zane

One thing I have noticed here is that the frat brothers are often more interested in and open to learning ideas about the world than the artsy leftist humanities slackers.

Service industry workers being called “low skilled” frustrates me so much because I could absolutely do a desk job and sit in meetings all day, but I guarantee you’d quit in 10 minutes if you had to serve the public for 12+ hours with a big fake smile on your face and no breaks

Every new car in the U.S. will be required by law to have tech that puts constant surveillance on the driver by 2027. AI in your car will determine if you're sober and fit to drive, automatically turning off the vehicle if it determines you're a danger on the road.

UAE has left OPEC & OPEC+ Possible reasons: > They left opec in exchange for receiving the dollar swap line from USA > UAE wants to utilise its 5 million BPD capacity as opposed to the 3.5 million BPD limit set by OPEC+ Possible winners: > US just took out a major player out of Russia dominated OPEC+. The extra oil flooding the market can hurt russia's bottom line > India & China who have been starving for oil since the start of Iran war could get much better deals > China if UAE decides to move away from petrodollar to yuan > Israel which will grow closer to UAE while it sends Iron Dome & IDF personnel to aid in defense The Iran war may have permanently changed the energy landscape of the world

People are cold. They really are, and the sooner you accept that, the better you will treat yourself. Most people are not thinking about you. The warmth you remember from them was mostly situational, it lasted as long as you were useful, available, or entertaining. People leave without explanation. People watch you struggle and say nothing. Stop being shocked by it. Not everyone deserves your openness, your energy, or your time. The cold world does not reward the naive. It rewards those who see it clearly and move accordingly.
