Alcohol increases the risk of several cancers, including breast, liver, esophageal, and colorectal, and no amount is considered completely safe. Cutting back is one of the most effective ways to lower your cancer risk. hopkinsmedicine.org/health/expert-…

BREAKING NEWS: Colorectal cancer is now the leading cause of cancer death for people under 50, according to new data released by the American Cancer Society (@AmericanCancer). This trend is alarming—and it demands action. Congress must prioritize #ColorectalCancer research so we can understand why this is happening and stop it. Join us in Washington, D.C., March 1–3 for Call-on Congress 2026 and make sure lawmakers hear directly from the people most impacted. fightcolorectalcancer.org/event/call-on-… @JAMANetwork @JAMANetworkOpen #ColonCancer #RectalCancer #Cancer #BreakingNews #PrioritizeCRC

If you’re facing chemotherapy for lung cancer, your care team might suggest a chemo port to help make treatment easier and more comfortable. Learn more here: my.clevelandclinic.org/health/treatme… What it is: A chemo port is a small device placed under the skin (often in the upper chest) and connected by a thin tube to a large vein. It lets healthcare providers deliver chemo drugs and draw blood without repeated needle sticks into your veins. Why it’s helpful: • Fewer needle pokes: No need to find veins every visit — helpful if your veins are fragile. • More comfort: Infusions and blood draws can be easier and less painful. • Long-term use: Ports can stay in place for months or even years while you’re getting treatment.

"90% of my time is spent writing grants..." 🏛️🔬 Researchers are stuck in a cycle of "getting elected" for funding instead of doing the science. We need to fund PEOPLE and their RISKS, not just safe projects. 💡 🔗 youtu.be/J_5c8Bt8qdU Support ➡️ Giving.CU.EDU/CrackingCancer
