X is about to make lazy video ripping a lot less profitable. For a while, one of the easiest plays on here was finding a viral clip, reposting it fast, and collecting money from attention you didn’t really earn. That only works when the platform treats the repost and the original like they are basically the same thing. If duplicate video detection starts giving more credit to whoever posted the original first, the incentive changes fast. Original creators should be posting natively on X before they put the same video everywhere else. Clippers are going to have to add real context, editing, commentary, research, or an actual point. Honestly, that is how it should have worked already. The timeline does not need 40 copies of the same video from accounts that added nothing. Creators who actually make the thing should have the better reason to post here first.

Now the county claims it’s worth $306,000. Did I sell it? No. Did I realize a profit? No. Did I receive a $306,000 check? Not even close. But my tax bill? That went up like I did. That’s the problem. This isn’t income. This isn’t cash. This is a number someone wrote down on paper — and now I’m expected to pay real money because of it. If my stock portfolio doubles, I don’t owe taxes until I sell. If my paycheck doesn’t increase, I don’t suddenly owe more income tax. So why is housing treated differently? Why am I being taxed on unrealized gains? Spiking fuel prices from Trump’s war was the nail in the coffin for twice-bankrupted Spirit airline. FWIW, JetBlue merger failed because a judge, appointed by Ronald Reagan, said the deal was illegal. Republicans are desperate to shift blame from higher costs hitting families.
