@errie8906 We are not the judge of that… but theoretically, you could… yes
English

@CathApolDiscipl So if I lie 2 seconds before I die I go to hell?
English

@errie8906 Through the sacraments, prayer, Scripture, suffering united to Christ, and acts of virtue… always with an open, humble, and cooperative soul.
Seriously, I’ve gotta go to sleep. If you have more, I’ll try to see it in the morning
English

@CathApolDiscipl I agree. We cannot do His will by ourselves. How do we recieve grace?
English

@errie8906 Repenting to the authority Christ left us, yes… you need Grace to do Gods will… Grace is not something you can earn on your own. It’s a gift from God. When you sin, you reject that gift. When you repent you are in the state of Grace, again. You want to die in the state of Grace
English

@CathApolDiscipl So if I simply repent of my sins every day I can do God's perfect will?
English

@errie8906 Grace is Gods life in us… we cannot do His will on our own… we need to be in the state of Grace… Christ gave the apostles the power to forgive sin for this reason
Gnight
English

@errie8906 No that is not my answer. Repenting is a part of God’s perfect will
English

@MatthewDePra No, you are mistaken. You CAN do all of the Fathers will because repentance when falling short is a designed process of His will, instituted by Christ after the resurrection.
Lead a repentant life… know Him, love Him, and serve Him so we can be happy in this life and the next
English

So a person must do all of God's will to inherit the kingdom of heaven (Matt 7:21), but he is incapable of doing it without faults, which means he cannot do all of God's will.
And James warned us:
James 2:10
For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it.
So we're really in trouble if our salvation is based on doing all of God's will.
That's why we say "faith alone." It's only by our faith in Christ that we are saved. Works are the natural fruit of becoming a new creation in Him. We are *able* to do the work of the Father when we are saved. We weren't able to before then.
English

@BubbleLad777 Rebuked sin, accepted Jesus, made a confession to the highest priest, accepted guilt and punishment for his crimes.
If you want to follow the thief on the cross for your salvation, no one is going to stop you.
English

@CathApolDiscipl What did the guy on the cross next to Jesus do, other than have faith?
English

@CathApolDiscipl Are we capable of doing all of the Father's will?
English

@CathApolDiscipl How much of the Father's will do we need to do to earn salvation?
English

@JamesDitto12 I provided scripture and Protestants still believe in faith alone… the Protestant commentary is to show context and contrast… no lies were told
English

@CathApolDiscipl When you redefine faith to mean mental ascent, you'd be correct.
But since Protestants don't do that, your claim is a lie.
English

@BubbleLad777 No… understand Catholic teaching before assuming
English

@CathApolDiscipl So, you believe you can earn your way to Heaven with good works????
English

@GiddyOnGaming “He who hears you hears Me. He who rejects you rejects Me”.
English

@GiddyOnGaming The church was given this authority as the pillar and foundation of truth (interpret scripture).
You reject this… John 6:66.
I’m not here to convince you… you don’t need to reject each verse with your interpretation. I’m only informing.
English

@GiddyOnGaming We are taught the representation of His sacrifice… you reject it
Good night
English

@CathApolDiscipl We're not taught that Christ returns in bread.
We're not taught to re-present his sacrifice.
We're taught to remember Him and that He died for us sealing the new covenant in His blood.
We do.
English

@GiddyOnGaming I do… I don’t believe in the reinterpretation that men had 1500 years later. Good night
English

@CathApolDiscipl Just believe in what it says, brother.
English

@GiddyOnGaming You’re following an interpretation & theology on this that is no older than the reformation. You following the traditions of men. The apostles did not teach their disciples it was symbolic. The early church did not teach it was symbolic. The 1st 1500 years was taught literally
English

@CathApolDiscipl Read the entire passage in context. They were lookin for more bread. They wanted bread and Jesus said "I am bread"
Then He told His disciples "The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life." -John 6:63
Works will not save. Only Christ saves.
English

@arc7gaming What did Jesus us tell us to do? “Baptize all nations in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost”. He also told us this:
Scott ✝️🇻🇦@CathApolDiscipl
The redemption Arc, starting with the Authority given by Christ to Peter. At anytime you break the redemption arc, you are no longer in the state of Grace and you need to repent through the means Christ left us. It’s all centered around the Eucharist.
English

@arc7gaming The Father has many wills. One was to have Christ sacrificed (“not my will but thy will”). His will was also that we listen to His Son (“this is my Son whom I am well pleased, listen to Him”)
English
