Today is the feast of St Joseph, husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary!⁠ We remember Joseph for accepting the will of God, supporting Mary, and raising Jesus. ⁠ St Joseph... Pray for us!

We met Cardinal Roche who gave us all a blessing. A visit to the Venerable English College was a wonderful addition to our stay. Mass at the catacombs with Mgr Paul. Of course we shared precious time with colleagues.

A wonderful weekend in Rome and its surroundings. A visit to the Pope’s Palace in Castel Gandolfo yesterday. Mgr Paul led us on a whistle stop walking tour of central Rome to see the key spots in Rome.

A wonderful evening with Mass in the church at Palazzolo and time to relax. Today Mgr. Paul shares his wisdom as we join the queue for St Peter’s Basilica. The sun is shining too.

Finally arrived at Villa Palazzolo on the outskirts of Rome. A shared lunch in fellowship and then some time for personal space and reflection in wonderful surroundings. Mgr Paul Grogan will lead them lead us in our formation session. Sun is shining, a decent temperature too.

Today is Ash Wednesday and Lent begins!⁠ ⁠ In the Gospel, Jesus tells us what Lent is all about: Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving. He tells the disciples, and us, how to do this well.⁠ ⁠ This Lent, let us reflect on who we are and how we can come ever closer to God.
