Just so we're clear, do you deliberately ride right at the right line instead of the left half of your lane even though doing the latter would give drivers enough room to pass without having to go across the centerline into the oncoming lane in order to make a pass? If so, you're also an asshole.

The worm has turned, drivers are now being prosecuted daily for close passing cyclists, pedestrians and horses. Cameras and 3rd party reporting means we no longer have to put up with dangerous and inconsiderate driving.

Some time ago, I posited the idea that a cargo bike capable of transporting a small family would be transformative. I've found that bike. Now we need manufacturing scale to get it below £1000.

Trump's latest defense, which we will see at trial I'm sure, that the 34 business records were not false because they were legal payments (reimbursing his lawyer Cohen for making the $130,000 hush money payment) is BELIED by contemporaneous notations that the payments were for ongoing legal services rendered during a certain month. Oops.

For me the whole autism is a super power idea is toxic positivity turned up to 11. I don't consider my pattern recognition skills a super power, just part of how my brain processes information. Others can and will disagree, but that's ok.

@DrFrancesRyan We should demand that the same surveillance be carried out on serving members of the government who have repeatedly shown they are not to be trusted with public money - unlike those on benefits. They assume everyone's as bent as they are!

@taperoo2k Generators? I used to work for the DHS on the computer systems that ran the unemployment benefit system. We had back up generators to ensure the computers kept working if we lost mains electric. They were tested every week. Not providing back up power for these people is criminal

Shows this Government doesn’t care about the disabled at all. One solution would be to install solar and a battery system. Not cheap but what price can you put on someone’s life?

@taperoo2k I've not yet been officially diagnosed, but one of the first indicators for me was my sensory issues, I remember having to change seats on the bus because the person I was sat next to was wearing too much perfume/after shave

Even I know the route, I get anxious. Then there’s putting up with people who’ve drenched themselves in deodorant etc. The smell is a double whammy of sensory overload and wheezing due to asthma.

@taperoo2k Too often the amount of support a child gets is dependent on how disruptive they are rather than their actual needs. As long as the teacher can get on with the lesson they assume the kid was fine and teachers have practically no training in special needs

EHCP’s are not a golden ticket to anything. You have to fight to get one and you have to fight to get the plan implemented. Which is often a never ending battle of attrition. The Times has become a posh Tabloid Rag to an extent.
