@Shrink_at_Large They used an episode of psychosis from the 2000's to refuse putting me on the waiting list for talking therapies.

@vitt2tsnoc As many times as they need to stuff their bank accounts with cash. Have to hand it to them, they turned a gold medal win into a career of mucking about on ice rinks.
English

@HarleyShah They always trot out these excuses when a government moves to ban animal cruelty posh toffs call sport. There are humane ways of dealing with foxes that get into chicken coops etc. You don’t need baying hounds and drunk toffs on horses to chase a fox to death.
English

Why is the TL full of posh wankers likening themselves to wild animals incapable of control or empathy, like it's a valid gotcha?

@LestaLefty What do you think happens to wild animals… in the wild?
English

@vitt2tsnoc It’s so they can cram as much stock in as possible. The Superdrug near me expanded into an empty unit next to it. The old version of the shop felt like it had more space.

@Shrink_at_Large Anything to avoid admitting the truth which is poverty wages and exploitation keeps profits up. No care shown to those get chewed up and spat out of the workplace, they become the scapegoats to hide the perniciousness of the system.
English

Fascinating his idea that people develop multiple conditions because they are not working rather than they get multiple conditions and that’s why they can’t work.
Good Morning Britain@GMB
The UK is "sliding into an avoidable crisis" according to a major review into workplace sickness out this morning. The Keep Britain Working Review found that since 2019, 800,000 more people have left the workforce due to ill health, and the review warns that without action, it could get worse. Former John Lewis boss Sir Charlie Mayfield, who led the report, talks to @susannareid100 and @edballs about his findings.

@brianofarabia @Shrink_at_Large The cost of benefits as a share of GDP is stable and likely going to fall by 2029/2030. Welfare claimants are an easy scapegoat to avoid restructuring the tax system to ensure those with the deepest pockets pay a fair share of tax to fund all the things the state needs to do.
English

@Shrink_at_Large “Benefits” are what’s bankrupting this country and it’s unsustainable. How is a shrinking cohort of taxpayers, supposed to pay for a burgeoning cohort of “takers”, answer me that please?
English

@VickiWistow @Shrink_at_Large They don’t see the reality of benefits or having to deal with the incompetence of the DWP. The middle classes will feel the pinch soon, I think this is partly why there has been hysteria around benefits. If the middle
Classes go “hang on why aren’t we taxing the rich”…..
English

@Shrink_at_Large They’re so weird being jealous of people on social security, using food banks, etc, when the only reason they’re publishing their bs at all is bc of the privilege they enjoy and the climate being whipped up against people on “benefits.”
English

@Shrink_at_Large Benefits = survival. It’s not about feeling owed, it’s attempting to survive in a country where we’ve lost empathy and everything is geared towards making the rich richer, while those down the pecking order fight over the scraps.
English

@Shrink_at_Large It’s a normalised part of society. There is an outdated view of disability that dominates the media landscape that feeds the prejudices disabled people face on a daily basis.
English

@Shrink_at_Large It's a funding issue, they'd love to hire staff with the right training and experience but can't. I was lucky enough to get treated by Professor John Geddes for about a decade. I'd honestly not be here if not for him.
English

@taperoo2k They aren’t trained properly then. I am so sorry to hear this xx
English

@samhfarrell @Shrink_at_Large I've had an assessment and the RTC provider won't prescribe ADHD medications due to my high blood pressure, likely due to liability concerns. Which I understand.
English

@taperoo2k @Shrink_at_Large Can't advise directly cos I'm not sure of the current situation, but if you haven't already, it's worth asking in UK ADHD groups on FB about right to choose and shared care, where the NHS pays for private assessment. Unfortunately often the only realistic access to ADHD services.
English

@Shrink_at_Large And if you don't consent? Automatic fail? I can see them making it mandatory with some breezy language about choice. Work coaches should not have access to people's medical records.
English

@MrsArcanum @Shrink_at_Large @UKLabour Labour really do not value disabled people who are not working and they don’t value those who are given the cuts to the access to work scheme. It’s ableism with some eugenics mixed in aka Work Cures All things including disability in their minds. Wankers.
English

@Shrink_at_Large What is wrong with this @UKLabour Government, that they choose to fixate on the ONE benefit that has the least amount of fraud, is designed to cover a need, and is not employment related?
English

@Shrink_at_Large They are trying to get all the proposed changes through one piece at a time to avoid another rebellion.
English

@beckysowsseeds I played a little earlier, seems a lot more polished than the first game (which I love).
English

@RachelCDailey I noticed he’s not made any comments about the ADHD task force report that shows an underdiagnosis if anything. No doubt you’ll have seen it. For those who’ve not. england.nhs.uk/long-read/repo…
