James, an ICU patient in Feb 2025, returned today in great health with his parents Laura and Sean to present a €1,750 donation raised for his 18th birthday. A huge thank you to James and his family for their incredible support 💙

We were honoured to welcome the mum of brave little Leon as she presented his beautifully framed Cavan jersey to our paeds team. 💙🤍The jersey will take pride of place on the ward where Leon spent part of his journey—an inspiring reminder of courage, community and love. 💛

CGH recently held Arts & Health Awareness Days along with HSE Healthy Ireland, Creative Ireland, Cavan Co Council Arts Office, Réalta & local artists. Two staff-created paintings from the workshops are proudly displayed in the hospital’s main corridor.

Hospital Pharmacy Day was celebrated last Thursday in CGH, Behind every safe medication prescription there is a wonderful pharmacy team!! #HospitalPharmacyDay

World Kidney Day was also celebrated in Monaghan Hospital, It was very successful. We had beautiful buns and a quiz. The Sean McCaffrey foundation donated 2 €50 euro one4all vouchers. Marie McArdle and Linda Caulfield won the vouchers.

(2/2) Prizes for the quiz were donated by the Sean McCaffrey foundation and the winners of the two €50 One for All Vouchers were Sarah McInerney (Maternity) & Siobhan Reilly (Practice Development). There was also a quiz and celebrations for patients in the Haemodialysis Unit.

(1/2) We celebrated World Kidney Day 2025 in CGH. There was great engagement from all grades of staff today at the information stand and Medical 1 were the winners of "The Big Fluid Challenge".

Monaghan Hospital has been awarded "Age Friendly" status in recognition of its commitment to improving accessibility, comfort & inclusivity for older adults and people with disabilities, MH is the 2nd in Ireland to achieve this accolade. Congrats to all involved 👏
