American "leftism" was intentionally designed to punish anything remotely promising, promote dead-end tactics, be isolated from socialist countries, and render independent organization/ strategy impossible.
Clearly, it has been in need of a disruptive, radical, abrupt wakeup call that couldn't possibly be well-recieved by those who have grown comfortable in such an environment.
