China and Russia are under no obligation to militarily intervene on any other people's behalf. Geopolitics is not a superhero movie, where morality is fulfilled by whimsical force. Neither Stalin nor Mao militarily intervened in most anti-imperialist conflicts either, so this is not a result of corruption. HOWEVER, what many people do not realize is that neither Russia or China have any official paradigm, or working doctrine of international relations beyond international law, and the postwar world order. This means that officially, they regard the long chain of US aggression as merely a series of unrelated, illegal violations of international law, the UN charter, etc.- and each time, they wag their finger, and condemn the 'misbehavior' of the US. China does not officially acknowledge the unipolar word order: It it holds that we live in a world of international law, and that the US is merely destabilizing the 'international order' via 'hegemonism' and 'unilateralism.' Russia's foreign relations paradigm is even more legalistic and conformist. From a purely analytical point of view, the naive conservatism of this international relations paradigm is suicidal. It is what has empowered liberal forces within Russia, China and Iran to sabatoge Eurasian integration, based on the theory that they are simply separate states under one international order that recognizes the national right of self-determination. For the sake of self-preservation, the rational thing to do is stop treating each other as random pedestrians, and acknowledge the need to do something decisive about the maniac. A new paradigm of international relations is necessary that recognizes US hegemony as both a de-facto reality and an existential threat to the national security of all states which refuse to surrender to it. I don't blame Russia or China for not intervening on behalf of Iran. There is no paradigm that even exists which has officialized the common interests and geopolitical position of these nations. For now this acknowledgement is purely theoretical, usually by Iranian, Russian and Chinese intellectuals who constantly have to clash with globalist liberals within their own countries. Social media hype has led people to believe there's some secret Eurasian NATO. THERE ISN'T. Yes, the official statements these countries put out - as naive as they sound - really does reflect the extent of their geopolitical orientation. There's no occult coordination going on. I am analytically making the observation that this will eventually imperil all of them, if the current trend continues. No, it's not third worldism. And no, I'm not claiming they should sacrifice their national interests for small countries bullied by America. I am making a sober and realistic assessment of the world system, international relations, and the nature of the conflict between the US and its 'foreign adversaries.'
