It is a travesty of justice that Sam, Lottie, Ellie and Fatema Zainab were remanded today by a system which is complicit in genocide itself. Even the prosecution didn’t seek to remand them, but an arbitrary decision made by the judge.
The Filton24 acted to save lives with courage and compassion. And they should be celebrated.

Israel has extended the detention of two activists who were arrested on board a flotilla bound for Gaza, where they intended to deliver humanitarian assistance. Saif Abu Keshek, a Spanish national, and Brazilian, Thiago Avila, were taken to Israel while more than 100 other pro-Palestinian activists on the boats were taken to the Greek island of Crete. The Israeli navy intercepted their flotilla in international waters last week and a court ruled for the pair to be held for at least six more days.

I have just spoken to Zak Khan, the Green Party representative aboard the Global Sumud Flotilla.
I am extremely concerned about his treatment at the hands of the Israeli Defence Forces, the injuries inflicted on Zak include being shot in the leg by a rubber bullet and a near broken jaw.
I am doing all I can to ensure his safe return home.
