Humanity has been inventing new language for thousands of years. No one batted an eyelid when we moved on from “Ye Olde English”! This is no different. The only reason it’s newsworthy is because… you guessed it… it’s about the trans community. There are currently words and phrases that are very binary and can be triggering to those people who do not identify with the sex they were assigned at birth. What is the problem with using new language? Who does it actually really hurt if we use a different word or phrase? Anti-trans people are using this to once again hurt and abuse people, and it is abhorrent. These under-handed ‘wins’ are short-lived and pathetic. True inclusivity means making sure that everyone in our society is comfortable and welcome, and part of that comfort means embracing inclusive language. Don’t you agree?

We had an assault weapons ban from 1994-2004 that prohibited the manufacture or sale for civilian use of certain semi-automatic weapons and banned magazines with 10 rounds or more. Mass shootings dropped during that decade. We did it once and should do it again.

Under my economic plan, no one making less than $400,000 will pay a penny more in taxes. But you know who will? Billionaires, multi-millionaires, multinational corporations, and businesses with massive stock buybacks who have gotten away with low-to-no taxes for too long.
