@PB_Uncommitted made a great play in deep RC gap to steal a 3B. Broke the game open in 7th with this 2 RBI 3B of his own.
Recruiting interest in two sports (⚾️,🏈) at the next level

@FeitCanWrite @Cbowman131 Id be really curious how many season baseball tickets there are that fall into that category and how many truly will be left out
English

Maybe I'm wrong, but this reads like donors who haven't watched NU baseball since Will Bolt played could swoop and grab the seats that baseball ticket holders have held since Haymarket opened.

Part of the recent email from the University regarding post season tickets. Does this mean what I think it means?
English

@FeitCanWrite @RayLincoln82 And the NCAA only requires that the host school allows 200 tickets for each team. That doesn't come close to the over 4,000 season tickets. I'm done with this. Sad but the university only wants money and appears not to give a crap about loyal fans..
English

@RayLincoln82 @Cbowman131 It is an NCAA event, which means some tickets are reserved for the teams, sponsors, etc. This means some season ticket holders could be displaced.
But NU is in charge of how the remaining tickets are distributed.
Bumping HAF to the front of the line was not driven by the NCAA.
English

@RayLincoln82 @FeitCanWrite Tickets and access typically go together!
English

@Cbowman131 @FeitCanWrite Paying minimum for tickets get you access to games. Thats it. How many season ticket holders are really going to get left out?
English

@FeitCanWrite @RayLincoln82 That just demonstrates the screwed up nature of this decision.
English

@RayLincoln82 @Cbowman131 Here's a response that has stuck with me:
Husband & wife are Husker fans.
Husband has football season tickets in his name (and pays an annual "donation").
Wife has softball season tickets in her name. No "donation" required.
Guess who gets first crack at regional tickets?
English

@RayLincoln82 @FeitCanWrite So what you're saying is supporting the team counts for nothing. If donations are big but no one is there to support the team that's what matters. Ask the athletes about that. Crowds make a difference!!!
English

@Cbowman131 @FeitCanWrite I am not. However paying $100‐$200 shouldnt give you special perks vs someone who gives thousands. Its how college athletics works in 2026. I had season bball tickets for 12 years. I got no perks cause I didnt donate. I got it.
English

@iKalebHenry I stand corrected, each visiting team gets up to 200 tickets. 3 visiting teams equals 600 tickets if each team take the full allotment.
English

@iKalebHenry The ball park holds 8,500. Let's say each team gets 500 tickets if they want. That still leaves 7,000 seats. Season ticket holders should get first choice. There aren't 7,000 season tickets so donors would still have the opportunity to attend their first game.
English

I’ve got some more info on this.
Postseason regionals are NCAA hosted events, meaning some sections with season ticket holders are used for visiting teams. All Husker postseason events (baseball, softball, volleyball) use HAF ranking to assign priority access.
Priority is HAF tiers, non-HAF season ticket holders, then general public.

@RayLincoln82 @FeitCanWrite Doubt you're a season ticket holder. The donors don't full the seats. Season ticket holders do. Season tickets sell out. Check your facts!!!
English

@Cbowman131 @FeitCanWrite People act like there are 10k fans at every game. Now that they have a chance to make a regional everyone wants on the bandwagon
English

@kellysueb @TroyDannen Great statement. For anyone suggesting baseball season tickets aren't all purchased, check your facts. Sold out! But hey, who cares. Take a seat in the bench, the donors are are who we care about!!!
English

@TroyDannen There are those of us who are true Husker baseball fans and season ticket holders for more than 20 years without hosting or sometimes even without making the conference tournament. Your message to us is this: We don't value your support. Only big $ matters. Do better.
John M. Bishop@JohnBishop71
Huge mistake to prioritize donor points over season ticket holders. Use the donor points for seats held by season ticket holders NOT buying postseason tickets.
English

@timmcewen11 So we all know donors don't fill the stadium or the ballpark. That's done by season ticket holders. Follow this plan and that WILL change!!!!
English

I wouldn’t want to be AD in this environment.
In order to be competitive in all sports, which NU has become better (football excluded) in almost every sport since Dannen took over the role, you have to have money and large donors pay the freight for NIL and facilities.
It is a tough balance but the timing of Dannen taking over also overlaps with 1890 and the Peed family pouring a ton of money toward all programs.
I agree that this seating for postseason stinks but I prefer it over having crappy teams.
They are reseating volleyball this year, Basketball will be next and Football in 2028 to reward large lifetime donors.
Hope they make the CWS this year.
Josh Peterson@joshtweeterson
The Nebraska AD is making a huge mistake if they stick with this plan. Spitting in the face of season ticket holders that have attended dozens of games in crappy weather this season. Makes zero sense.
English

@JustinbFrommer @HuskersRadio And screw loyal season ticket holders!!!!
English

#Nebraska AD Troy Dannen says on @HuskersRadio the school learned a lot of lessons from the Zach Bryan concert, most notable communications to fans outside the stadium
Dannen said 80% of tickets sold were still scanned after the weather delay
English

@FeitCanWrite @joshtweeterson I’ve held season tickets to bad baseball for years waiting to get decent tickets for a regional. Now Im forced to give up my seats to a fair weather nepo-baby who hasn’t been to a game since 2006? This will be the last season of tickets for me. Maybe im the only one. @TroyDannen
English

@RayLincoln82 @FeitCanWrite Where were they when tickets were sold. No: I absolutely don't agree with your point!!!
English

@FeitCanWrite I get it, but shouldn't those that donate more get a perk for that?
English

@JohnBishop71 Yes it does. As a season ticket holder since Haymarket was built this giving me the finger and saying the University doesn't care! Disgusting!!
English

@JohnBishop71 I've been a season ticket holder every since z Haymarket was built. Been through some good times and some not so good. The thanks and loyalty I get is essentially the message the athletic department doesn't care. This is one loyal fan that will have to reconsider!!
