The first PBCR in Bihar located in Muzaffarpur, has successfully generated high-quality data that can be utilized to plan cancer control programs, enhance cancer care infrastructure, and facilitate etiological research in this population.

It is reported that 1.56 million cases and 0.87 million cancer deaths will occur in India. 1 in 9 people will be at risk of developing cancer. The most common cancers were oral, lung, and prostate in males, and in females, breast, cervix uteri, and ovarian cancer.
