Vice President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan graced the 15th Graduation Ceremony of the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar today. Emphasising that “Scientific capability is not optional; it is foundational for Viksit Bharat,” the Vice-President said science must guide policy and ensure sustainability in a rapidly changing world. Paying tribute to Dr. Homi Bhabha, the Vice-President recalled that his demise was a major setback for India’s atomic research. He observed that India emerged stronger from that tragedy and today stands among the world’s leading nations in atomic research. Expressing confidence in the graduating students, he said many of them would go on to become future Dr. Homi Bhabhas and make significant contributions to India’s scientific and technological advancement.

Ms. Barsharani Sahoo from the School of Chemical Sciences has been awarded the prestigious Gold Medal for her outstanding all-around academic performance in the M.Sc. component of the Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. program.

Mr. Satya P. Nayak from the Center for Medical and Radiation Physics has been awarded the prestigious Gold Medal for achieving the highest overall academic performance in the M.Sc. in Medical & Radiological Physics program. Congratulations on this achievement!

This year, Mr. Anish Dash from the School of Biological Sciences has been awarded the Iswar-Parbati Memorial Award for achieving the highest academic performance in the courses offered by the School of Humanities & Social Sciences with an exceptional GPA of 10.00 in those courses
