*BIRMINGHAM, UK* — The Minister of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training, Hon. Tino Machakaire, has called on Zimbabweans abroad to channel their skills, ideas, and investments toward national development, saying “the future of our nation will be built by Zimbabweans united across the world.” Minister Machakaire was speaking in Birmingham after attending the Zimbabwe Achievers Awards (ZAA) UK Gala Dinner, which brought together Zimbabweans from across the globe to celebrate excellence in business, innovation, leadership, and community development. Describing the event as a showcase of “excellence, resilience, and the incredible impact of our diaspora,” Hon. Machakaire said he was honoured to join the celebrations. He challenged Zimbabweans abroad, particularly the youth, to remain connected to their roots while thriving globally. “Continue succeeding globally, but never forget home,” he told attendees. “Zimbabwe needs your skills, ideas, experience, and investment.” The Minister emphasized that empowering future generations and driving development depends on leveraging diaspora expertise and capital. “This is our time to build Zimbabwe. This is our time to empower future generations. And this is our time to invest back home,” he said. #fypシ゚viralシfypシ゚ #fypシ゚viral #fypシ゚

Here is the clarity of the youth empowerment initiative from the ZANUPF Secretary for youth affairs Hon Machakaire Good evening all. I would like to clarify how this empowerment initiative was designed. The programme was launched with USD 2 million, which was equally allocated across the country’s 10 provinces, giving each province USD 200,000. We agreed that this fund could not simply be shared among individuals, but had to be invested strategically into sustainable youth businesses. Provincial executives were therefore mandated to establish companies, identify opportunities within their provinces and submit quotations based on their agreed resolutions. Approved allocations were as follows: 1) • Manicaland – 2 × 75-seater buses 2)• Masvingo – 2 trucks and 2 trailers 3)• Bulawayo – 3 × 20 cubic tipper trucks 4)• Harare – 2 × 20 cubic tipper trucks and 1 front loader 5)• Mashonaland East – 3 × 20 cubic tipper trucks 6)• Midlands – 2 trucks and 2 trailers 7)• Mashonaland West – 2 tipper trucks and 1 front loader 8)• Matabeleland South – 3 tipper trucks 9)• Matabeleland North – 3 tipper trucks 10)• Mashonaland Central – pending approval These are not individual businesses, but structured provincial companies that must operate professionally and transparently. Proper banking processes must be followed, taxes must be paid, business regulations must be respected and integrity must always be maintained. Financial reports will also be submitted regularly to ensure transparency, accountability and proper supervision through the committee established to report to the National Executive. Our objective is to ensure continuity, create employment opportunities for young people and build sustainable businesses that will grow beyond individuals. Most importantly, we want to account properly to His Excellency President Dr. E.D. Mnangagwa and ensure that we do not disappoint the confidence and support he has invested in the youth through this empowerment initiative. For the avoidance of doubt, even myself as Secretary for Youth Affairs, I did not have direct access to the funds. My responsibility was to facilitate and coordinate the agreed arrangement between the Principal and the youth structures. This programme is about productivity, discipline, accountability and national development. #fyp #trending @advocatemahere @LynneStactia @TembaMliswa
