On April 4th, a likely mentally-ill African man was behaving erratically in a Market Basket parking lot. I exchanged words with him, encouraging him to leave both the parking lot and the beautiful state of New Hampshire entirely. For this, I was arrested. Neither of us came within physical reach of one another, and I expect the matter to be dropped by the city of Manchester. Additionally, I am exploring legal action against the city. This incident is yet another example of how our government treats mentally-ill and dangerous African men as saints, and how the police prevent decent men from maintaining order in American cities and towns. The footage of my arrest is below. As someone who loves New Hampshire and attempts to make our state look good, it embarrasses me that our police our this incompetent.

@AllLoveCoco But! It's heat waste will be enough to somehow heat over 150,000 homes!!!! Now go buy all 'green appliances' and an electric car before you destroy the climate, bigot!

There is absolutely no fucking reason a data Center needs to be in the downtown core of a city centre. The sound pollution alone will drive ppl batshit insane. And it’s already crazy enough down there.
Sitka Media@sitkamedia

Telus CEO Darren Entwistle says work is being done to "leverage the rainwater collected by the roof of BC Place" to reduce water consumption at a new downtown Vancouver data to "as close as possible" to zero: "If I'm a Whitecap, I'll stay for that reason alone!"

You can only water your grass on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You must do your laundry after peak times. You must pay carbon taxes. You must buy green appliances. Continue to conserve every bit of energy you can so we can build the Beast system to enslave you.

@EricDLombardi You're complaining that THIS, can't be developed MORE? What do you want? One giant concrete slab? Pave over the farms? I guess you could always start building ON the fresh water? Long point looks like it has some room for your corporations. Maybe even a data center!!!

Did you know that Waterloo is running out of Water? KW, Brantford and Guelph rely highly on groundwater / Grand River. But supply is near its limits. While short term solutions exist, the province needs to engage on a long term solution: A WATER CONNECTION TO LAKE ERIE

@Rainmaker1973 In Canada, they're boasting the heat as an amazing thing. Somehow they're going to...hook it into your home's heating system? Or something? lol.

A massive new hyperscale data center project called Stratos is planned for Box Elder County, Utah. If built, it would demand up to 9 gigawatts of electricity, more than twice the total power consumption of the entire state. But the real shock comes from the waste heat. According to Utah State University physics professor Robert Davies, the facility would generate an additional 7 to 8 gigawatts of heat, creating a total thermal output of roughly 16 gigawatts concentrated in one location. That energy release, Davies calculated, is comparable to detonating 23 atomic bombs per day in Hansel Valley, a high desert basin near the shrinking Great Salt Lake that naturally traps heat like a bowl. The project’s energy footprint would also be roughly equal to that of 40,000 Walmart Supercenters. Local temperatures could rise by about 5°F (2.8°C) during the day and a staggering 28°F (15.6°C) at night. Ecologists warn that such dramatic warming would stress an already fragile ecosystem, worsen toxic dust from the drying lakebed, and disrupt plants, wildlife, and water resources. As the backbone of artificial intelligence, data centers are essential for every AI query, image, and training run. The Stratos project now raises a critical question: Can the massive infrastructure behind AI expand without permanently transforming, and overheating, the communities and landscapes where it’s built? ["‘So much worse than I even thought’: Utah’s ‘hyperscale’ data center could create massive heat island near Great Salt Lake." The Salt Lake Tribune]

🚨Fatal Semi-Truck Accident - Highway 17 near Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. May 12, 2026 Any guesses as to the truck driver's name? Watch the video: Semi takes the curve too fast and hits the shoulder. Driver loses control, crosses the lane and destroys an innocent person. This on the same day that Ontario's Auditor General Shelley Spence tables a report on scam truck driver schools producing unqualified graduates. They must go back.

@34kInferno @MarkJCarney The data center in Vancouver will use so much power, that the heat waste will be 'enough to heat over 150 000 homes'. And they're framing that as a good thing, while yelling at you for using a gas stove. LOL

AI data centers are sucking up water like billionaires suck up wealth. But don’t worry guys, they told us to take shorter showers while they evaporate entire lakes to train chatbots. Funny how the people hoarding the money are now hoarding the resources too.

@bilal_akh @AidanSimardone How does one evaporate water in a data center this size? Oh right...with the equivalent energy of 20 atomic bombs being detonated every single day. I don't ever want to hear another politician talk about my 'carbon footprint' every again.
