I don't know who needs to hear this but Mango is a High FODMAP fruit. That's why few people here get gut issues after eating a lot of mangoes everyday and hence acne pimple etc. Mango causes heat is not a correct term but this is why some of you get issues with mango.

Have you observed that there is no petrol, diesel or LPG shortage in India now? Leave exceptions. The Strait of Hormuz is under double blockade for a month. Hardly any channel showing a tanker landing in India from the Persian Gulf. How is the Modi government managing supply?

@markmeyourze @yashnakhare GKL will always be crowded, same for the valley of flowers and kedarkantha treks. GKL is around 14k ft you should be fine just drink tons of water 3-4L everyday even if you don't feel like and keep your ear and head covered that will be enough

@yashnakhare Ah! Noted. I’ve signed up for the first week of July, hoping to avoid the crowd. Also, would you recommend doing the Tarsar Marsar trek with locals or going with a trek group?

Hello, has anyone done the Kashmir Great Lakes trek? I’ve signed up for it last week knowing it’s rated moderate to difficult. I have done treks before, but not really difficult ones, so I’m a bit skeptical. I’ve been to Kashmir three times and done some smaller treks on my last two trips. But this one feels like a big step up, so I’m not entirely sure what to expect. Just wanted to check how difficult it actually is and hear from people who’ve done it.

A general word of advice, DO NOT TRAVEL to the popular tourist locations in TN or anywhere near TN on extended weekends. Ever. The culture of driving to a vacation spot has really caught on (just look up the quality of highway eateries and toilets in TN vs other states) and if you have a 3 day holiday a gazillion cars will head out of the city into the hills, beach towns etc. Have had friends take 16 hours to drive the 550 km from Chennai to Madurai during Pongal. Just stay at home or leave a day after the holiday starts, return a day after it ends and you get empty roads
Ritu Joon@ritujoon2j

Yesterday was one of the most hectic days of my life while travelling. It took us 18 hours to reach Munnar. We got stuck in Annamalai National Park for eight hours on a 10 km stretch. We were supposed to reach Munnar by 4 pm but arrived around 1:30 a.m. We almost ran out of fuel, there was no network in the national park, and our family was worried about us. As girls, we struggled to find a washroom for 8-10 hours. We all say that India is not using the full potential of its tourism, but do we have that kind of infrastructure? One long weekend and every tourist place gets packed.

@saaiyer I soak it in hot water before cooking i usually just saute it with peri peri and have it but if you want an easier way of eating make a paste of the paneer and use it like a premade gravy/pasta sauce

High protein/Low fat paneer has definitely been a game changer for lacto vegetarians. Some tips if you find it rubbery or chewy. 1. Once bought keep in the chill tray. 2. Use within 2 days, given Indias cold distribution chain and its lacunas i would not risk long storage. 3. Before cooking soak for 10 mins in hot salted water. It rehydrates paneer. 4. Dont 'cook' paneer. Its cheese. Its already cooked. Add it at the end of the cooking, simmer for 2 to 5 mins and its done. The cooking and over cooking along with gravies gives it the rubbery texture. 5. When you saute with veggies, do veggies first and then add the paneer cubes. Dont brown or deep saute it. Again 2 to 3 mins. 6. If you are making paneer bhurjee, add the grated paneer last. And then add some skimmed milk or some cheese. This moisture will keep it soft. 7. Dont airfry high protein paneer. Usually no oil or fat and the heat in the process will dry it more. Instead toss with spices on a non stick pan using an oil spray. Medium flame 2 mins. 8. Blending high protein paneer with some yogurt and water or some skimmed milk makes a great smooth gravy for base veggies/palak or pasta too. You can try this version if cubes are not palatable to you. Try these techniques and let me know how it goes.

If you think shopping in India is expensive, wait till you land in Guangzhou, China 😳 Clothes, gadgets, home appliances — EVERYTHING feels dirt cheap. So cheap you’ll end up spending 2-3x more than planned 💸 Every second shop = good quality + crazy prices And the second-hand market? Absolute madness iPhones, laptops, tablets, earphones — you’ll feel like buying for your entire family 🤯 I literally bring back mobiles & laptops every trip — almost HALF the India price Guangzhou isn’t a city… it’s a shopping trap you won’t escape

Our Ice-Cream Maker and High-Power Air Duster are now #1 Bestsellers in their categories on @amazonIN Yes, summer has definitely helped these categories. But seasonality only opens the door. The rest still comes down to getting the basics right. Nice little win. On to the next one. ☀️🚀

Hey I am not talking about this particular product. It may be very good. I am talking about coupon code in General. I observe that products being sold with coupon code GAJENDRA BAJENDRA are of cheap quality. In this particular case the coupon code is not working so the product will definitely be of good quality.

🚨🚨🚨 If you are planning any solo trip, then this thread is for you. Meet Sai Deepak from Chittoor. A man who presents himself as a friendly traveler, a helpful guide, or a professional consultant, depending on who you are. Multiple people across India have come forward with similar allegations against him. From hostels in Gokarna and Kasol to cities like Kochi, Mangalore, Guwahati, and Delhi, the pattern remains the same: He gains trust quickly, builds personal connections, creates urgency… and then asks for money. Several victims claim they lost amounts ranging from a few thousand to over ₹8 lakh. In some cases, he allegedly used fake identities, fake bookings, and even accessed victims’ bank details. Some FIRs have already been filed, yet reports suggest he continues to approach new targets. This thread compiles multiple accounts describing a similar pattern.
