I was there for Homestuck. I was there in the Tumblr days of Seven Universe and Gravity Falls. I was there for the formative years of online fandoms all across the internet. The TADC fandom is one of the most unruly, childish fandoms I've ever had the displeasure of interacting with. Instead of being happy that a small indie studio get's a chance at a theatrical release, y'all want to boycott it because you want it to "stay niche" and don't want the medium to mature and grow, and push bigger studios like Disney and Pixar out of the spotlight for once. Despite what it might seem like on the internet, Glitch is small peanuts compared to those giants. The rest of the world outside of the internet bubble has NO IDEA what TADC even is, so these theatres need to be convinced that showing it will be worth it for them. On top of that, despite GLITCH being an Australian company; TADC is an American production. Of COURSE they're going to focus on where the show originated and where it's most popular for their initial theatrical release; but if you want to see it closer to you, YOU NEED TO REACH OUT AND ASK FOR IT. GLITCH can't do it all, THEY'RE INDIE. IT'S US. WE'RE THE DISTRIBUTORS. It's just like Iron Lung all over again, but GLITCH is getting shit on instead of supported like Iron Lung was. I grew up in a time where I had to dodge spoilers for limited releases, and I managed to do it. Avoiding spoilers is surprisingly easy, you're just too entitled. We should absolutely be supporting an indie studio when they make moves like this. It's unheard of for something like this to be happening, and these projects are backed by real people with real passions. GLITCH doesn't make their money from YouTube views, they make it on merch and MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, they'll make a LITTLE revenue from these movie releases, but we have to support them if we want to see more projects like Iron Lung and TADC moving into the big screens.

@interstellar315 @supirorguy @lizibunn The actual announcement that it was going to be a movie in theatres should of happened months ago, then it would of given actual proper time to get it in theatres. Instead of begging fans for their help in the last 2 months.

gooseworx is so much better than me. if i was in her shoes i would’ve given tadc the worst ending ever solely because of how annoying people are about her creative decisions on her own show 😭😭

That's what I'm gonna do to avoid spoilers, I've done that for years with shows, movies, and book series. It's not hard at all.

You have to control yourself and avoid spoilers on your own, like people have done for YEARS. Scroll away from anything that may even LOOK like it's related to TADC, there's options.

I won't get to to see it either because I don't have a theather showing it nor do I have the means to get to one. Scroll at the first hint of any TADC content, mute tags. Glitch can't control fans.

@5thPantheon @Merrydawg It is not few days tho, it's two weeks and the episode will 10000% get spoilered to all the fans in rural areas, that's the biggest issue here, not this huge achievement of getting into theaters

@flunderfins @ShaydeeTheBat Bro, the studio can't control their fans. People will spoil literally no matter what, all Glitch can really say is "Please don't share spoilers" But even that wouldn't guarantee anything. It's incredibly easy to avoid spoilers.

@ShaydeeTheBat I get that but I do think if your business decision involves some fans having to get spoiled on what happens in the show's finale so you can make money. You should at least figure out a better way to make money for next time.

@JerkForKirk Next time, handle this properly by communicating this in ADVANCE and asking for help BEFOREHAND, rather than dropping a bombshell and putting the community in a tight spot. You'll see Glitch, surprisingly, it works much better. Try it!

@pomniwonderland I mean some Americans can't see it either, like I'm from the US but I can't see it in theaters because I live in a small city and I don't have a theater showing it near me nor do I have the transportation or money to get to a theater.

@6kelvzyu It worked for Mexico. And in France which is taking to Glitch about showings. It's literally proven to work.

Glitch telling us to to email our local theater like its our job makes me giggle a little. Go my team of teenagers, email companies that will probably most likely ignore you

@IdkImJustAGuy @doxo_arts You can still scroll away, it's still extremely easy if you see one of the characters or hear their voice. And I doubt that TADC is the most popular shows, other popular shows have done this and people still managed to avoid spoilers, y'all can too.
