This might sound insane, but in Japan… You buy a house with your own money, and still keep paying taxes on it until you die. When you buy it, they tax you. While you live in it, they tax you. When you sell it, they tax you. And after you die, your kids can get hit with inheritance tax too. Like… bro. You spent your whole life paying for that house. And somehow, the government still acts like it’s on a subscription plan. Is it really “your home” at that point?

@bruce_mcgonigal Harm reduction policies are implicit endorsement of drug use. Not to mention the societal harm drug users do to everyone who has the misfortune of existing near them. You reduce harm by reducing the number of total people that do drugs. Even if you have to harm the drug users.

No one has been able to explain to me how this is "harm reduction". The folks doing the fent fold end up with twisted spines & brain damage from falls and overdose. The drug cocktails decriminalized can cause extreme, even fatal withdraw symptoms within minutes of the drugs wearing off. Leading to psychological and physical agony. Even when people's feet are rotting off, they still seek the drugs because the addiction is so severe, they literally could die from detoxing.

My greatest concern for Elder Scrolls 6 isn't bugs, jank, or writing. It's this HR-approved, sterile, edgeless, sexless, "safe" tone in everything coming out from Microsoft, now. It's so pervasive it has to be enforced across every studio they own. Starfield showed it.

@aaron_gipp @BasedPota18 Also in that moment Luka was fully expecting to die should his friends win and destroy the Death Star. He turned himself into Vader to not compromise the mission. His victory or defeat in the throne room was never supposed more then symbolic in the scheme of the war.

@aaron_gipp @BasedPota18 Luke didn't have a clue that Palpatine was dangerous. After all Luke had only ever fought Vader. Throwing away was symbolic but I'm sure he though he'd be able to force grab it back before the withered old man could do anything. Lighting fingers caught him completely off guard.
