I could point you towards two communications from Dermot Desmond - one after Rodgers’ departure and one at the AGM - that have spread far more discontent than any podcast ever has.

The decision by Celtic FC to allow fans of another club access to Lennoxtown to interview a Celtic player while banning our own fan media is the latest example of utter contempt supporters are currently held in.

Banning your own fan media outlets then giving access to other clubs fan media for player interviews on club premises is an absolutely awful look for Celtic.

Someone at Celtic Football Club needs to come out publicly and tell us what the hell has actually gone on behind the scenes with this whole Kasper situation. Kasper was rushed back last season, seemingly chose not to undergo surgery, then played on carrying an injury for months. Fast forward and he’s played the guts of a full season not fully fit, made it worse over time, and all the while we were being told nothing was wrong. Week in, week out he was selected. Week in, week out fans could clearly see something wasn’t right. Some of the performances let’s be honest have been diabolical and nowhere near the standard expected of a Celtic goalkeeper. So the questions need answered: Why was he allowed to prioritise his own situation, including playing for Denmark, while Celtic are paying his wages? Why was he continually picked when he was clearly not fit? Why were fans being told recently he’d be “back soon” and that it was just illness? There’s a serious lack of transparency here from the club, and supporters deserve better. I understand the desire to play for your country of course I do but not at the expense of your club, your teammates, and ultimately our chances of winning trophies. Celtic’s league title, cup competitions, and even European ambitions have all been impacted during a crucial period. This will divide opinion, no doubt. But for me, it comes across as extremely selfish. I’ll always back Celtic first and foremost. And while I wish Kasper well moving forward, this whole situation has left a very sour taste and it’s not something I’ll be forgetting any time soon. 🍀
