Yesterday i lost sight in right eye! Emergency appointment same day at Royal Glam who were brilliant! Seen v quickly , hi tech tests, emergency referral to Moorfieldo Eye hospital in London. Arrived 8 am. Tested , operated on by midday. .NHS was brill.

The parallel with using Wales for woods post WWII is striking. Islwyn Ffowc Elis imagined a future dystopia of “Western England” covered in trees. Ours is a Western England covered in solar panels and endless windfarms, and making no money from them!
