@xoxoGiGiRip @guideforlovers I can agree to disagree here. There is clearly something wrong, but I think withholding sex is never the answer, especially if the spouse works hard and provides. That isn't to say that I think a woman should always give it up, but saying yes somewhat regularly is a huge help.

@HollyGrayle The older I get, the more I just like the taste of the ingredients. You don't need sugar to love strawberries; you don't need a ton of seasonings to enjoy meat/veggies. They taste good plain if you learn to appreciate the flavor. I still like good seasoning, I just don't need it.

Like when someone says they had a rough day, then you find out they got demoted, yelled at, etc when they finally talk about it.

No, he made it clear that it is "less and less frequent" and that he is unsatisfied in the situation. Him needing or wanting sex does not negate the fact that he is coming across as desperate and that is a huge turnoff. Regardless of whether he is or not, he doesn't have to come across like he did.

In the post- he said it's dwindled down, right? Not absent. I mean, her cutting up lingerie- that's important. She's making a statement, but what? Does she feel like that's all he wants? Maybe. Does she feel like he doesn't find her sexy unless she's dressed like that? There's too many variables. Relationships are hard and require so much work. I do think they need help for sure and not from Reddit or Twitter, lol.

@xoxoGiGiRip @guideforlovers I don't know if it is fixable, but if both parties are willing to try, it's worth trying. I know from my own experience on hormonal BC, it /destroyed/ me. It took /years/ off it to feel able to want my spouse, but I didn't push him away... The doctor thing might be a real need.

The only exception would be if that husband is calling his wife to violate the clear commands of scripture. Other than that, she is called to obey her husband as unto the Lord. In the same way husbands are called to sacrificially love their wives even when their wives aren’t respecting & obeying them. A marriage isn’t a quid pro quo relationship. It is a sacred covenant wherein both parties are called to die to self and fulfill their marital duties even when the other partner isn’t fulfilling theirs. This is Christian relationship 101
