I love when ppl go "ewwwww" to vegan food. What's missing, the feces? pus? parasites? cartilage? cholesterol? blood? Dyed/ coagulated breast milk? assholes/ eyes/ lips? Did i miss anything? What? lo.l Just goes to show how brainwashed and conditioned people are 🤪🤦‍♂️

Here it is, my annual reminder: don't spray spring dandelions with roundup. One flower can be visited by 100+ bees, and your chemical bullshit will kill all of them. If you hate dandelions so much, just pull them. Or leave them alone. It's not like they're going to shank you as you walk by.

Let the dandelions grow! They support over 50 insect species, and are a great early season food source for pollinators like bees, butterflies, hoverflies. No need to mow and please don't use weedkiller!

In Illinois, this is the space we give wildlife: a tiny sliver of drainage ditch in the vast expanse of corn and soy. It's not habitat so much as conduit for farm pollution where animals try, against odds, to survive. IL ranks in the bottom 5 states for % of public land, btw.

Texas actually did something like this, but better. Starting in the 1960s, thanks to Lady Bird Johnson and the Highway Beautification Act, Texas began planting native wildflowers along highways. Today, TxDOT manages about 800,000 acres of roadside and intentionally delays mowing until early summer after wildflowers have bloomed and dropped seed. Mowing late in the season allows the wildflowers to stay vigorous and not get crowded out by taller grasses or trees and shrubs. Take a drive along Texas highways in the Spring and you will enjoy a beautiful display of Bluebonnets, Indian Paintbrush, Coreopsis, Winecup, Mexican Hat, Indian Blanket, and more!
