Another Russian ‘Kalibr’ carrier down. Major General Yevhenii Khmara reported on the successful strike against targets in the port of Primorsk. It was a joint operation by our Security Service of Ukraine, the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Special Operations Forces, the Defense Intelligence, and the border guards. Thank you all, warriors, for your coordinated work! The Karakurt-class missile ship was hit, along with a patrol boat and another tanker from the shadow oil fleet. Significant damage was also inflicted on the infrastructure of the oil terminal port. Each such result further limits Russia’s war potential. I have also approved additional, entirely justified responses by the Security Service of Ukraine to Russian strikes on our cities and villages. Russia can end its war at any moment. Prolonging the war will only expand the scale of our defensive operations. Thank you to everyone fighting for Ukraine!

During a meeting with Prime Minister of Finland @PetteriOrpo, I thanked him for Finland’s recent decision to allocate an additional $300 million in defense support for Ukraine. We sincerely appreciate this, and we discussed priority areas of our defense – particularly air defense – that can be strengthened with this package. I proposed to the Prime Minister that we strengthen our bilateral partnership by signing an agreement in the format of the Drone Deal. Ukraine is ready to share its expertise and strengthen those who have been strengthening us since the very beginning of the full-scale invasion. We also touched on international cooperation, particularly our European integration. There is now a good window of opportunity to open the negotiating clusters, and Ukraine fully deserves this. I thank Finland for its support.

I had an important conversation with @vonderleyen today. We discussed the European support loan, including the timeline for the first tranche, which will be allocated to the coproduction of drones. We also agreed to move forward actively on a Drone Deal with the European Union and reviewed the details of this prospective security cooperation. We are preparing a plan of steps that will enable the creation of the necessary security infrastructure. I assigned the relevant tasks to Chief of the General Staff Andrii Hnatov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, and the Office’s diplomatic team.

I believe Europe should be able to produce everything it needs to defend against everything – all the ballistic attacks and all other weapons – on its own. We offer a contribution to Europe’s defense – our Drone Deals. They bring countries together. And we need strong protection across Europe – from drones and all attacks, potential attacks, in the air, at sea, and on land. Drone Deals mean joint work, joint production, shared protection.
