In #Hungary, #Fidesz frames international grants to independent #NGOs as massive threat to sovereignty. Abroad, it organizes mass protests & road blockades, and of course meddles into elections. I wonder when will partners see that Fidesz is a threat to other's #sovereignty.

‼️ My speech in Plenary today: Article 7(2) was not put in the Treaty for nothing. It’s there for a reason. So, please Member States, roll up your sleeves and start the work to save this Union. The EU decision-making cannot be paralyzed by one government.

He’s right. The commission confused a law with reality. The Hungarian judicial reform changed nothing substantial on the ground. And the commission fell for it.
