Verbietet FSD!
Kees Roelandschap@KRoelandschap

One thing is for sure: Vision works This is a WILD maneuver from FSD (Supervised) in Amsterdam 🇳🇱 A really tight turn to the left, needs to go on the wrong side of the road, negotiate with oncoming traffic and even reverse a little bit All decision making felt immediate, decisive and above all: completely safe and very human-like!

@FredLambert UPS - Tesla is going bankrupt in three months! This is what some „experts“ said some years ago. Like Mr. Spiegel. And this post is also for shorties. Maybe the Electrek experts have never realized, that the 1st month every quarter is mostly for export from CN?

Lots a words for nothing. At the end of the day, if you read "Tesla China sales jump 36% in April" what do you think? Tesla's sales in China were up 36% in April. But that's simply false. They were down 10% as we now know. You are trying to be misleading to picture Tesla in a better light. It's as simple as that. "Wholesale" numbers, which are just production numbers, should never be referenced as "China sales" unless you are trying to be misleading. Am I wrong? If so why.

Drive Tesla 🇨🇦@DriveTeslaca

Fred called us out this morning for "a lie" in our reporting last week that Tesla China sales were up 36%. Wholesale figures include both domestic sales and exports, which is standard industry reporting and how Tesla China numbers are typically reported each month. Today the CPCA released the breakdown of retail vs exports, showing retail sales in China were down, while exports surged to the second-highest level ever for Giga Shanghai. Both statements are true at the same time: • Tesla China wholesale sales increased 36% • Tesla retail sales in China dropped 10% But, it is also important to understand how Giga Shanghai operates. Tesla has followed the same production and export cycle for years. The first half of each quarter typically sees exports surge. Domestic deliveries in China then ramp up later in the quarter as production shifts back toward local customers. This pattern has been observed consistently for years. Anyone regularly covering Tesla should already be familiar with this pattern, and how Tesla’s quarterly production cycles impact the monthly numbers.

@Tesla So sad….. After two minutes Test Drive of the S 85 D in 2015, my heart and mind where converted to electric driving. Later, my company bought an S. It was just love to a masterpiece of Art and Technology. The design of the S is timeless beautiful. Developed with love.

Hey @elonmusk, that's quite the 180 in just 3 months. Feb 12: Anthropic is "misanthropic and evil" and "doomed." May 6: You spent time with the Anthropic team, were "impressed," "no one set off my evil detector," and you leased them Colossus 1. So you were completely wrong. That's fine — but it's worth asking what led you to be so confidently wrong in the first place. You went from "evil" to "impressed" after a single in-person meeting. That means whatever shaped your prior view, your X feed, your timeline, your echo chamber, fed you a completely false picture of an organization you could have just called. When we realize we were wrong about something, it's critical to evaluate what led to the mistake. In your case, it's clear that your habits of information gathering on X and your reliance on a feedback loop corrupted by your cult of personality are part of what led to this mistake. Now ask yourself: what other strong convictions of yours might crumble just as fast if you had direct exposure rather than relying on your curated X feed?

@FredLambert @ElectroSciPol We proofed our model for a fully electric boat with regenerative technology (using waves to generate electricity) with AI. And Grok was the best by far in all the mathematics. But more versions are needed in all AU models from good to great, which is the goal of every project.

Elon Musk went from saying Anthropic is "doomed" to selling it xAI's compute because it has no use for it. Are you starting to see it yet?

SpaceXAI will provide @AnthropicAI with access to Colossus 1, one of the world’s largest and fastest-deployed AI supercomputers, to provide additional capacity for Claude → x.ai/news/anthropic…

So what did he make Tesla and SpaceX investors buy for $250 billion? Twitter (realistically ~$12b, but Elon's inflated value of ~$44b) and then Colossus 1 and 2? Realistically worth ~$20b. That's it. Even with the most generous valuation, it is fairly clear that Elon made Tesla and SpaceX investors over pay for xAI by a good $100 billion. Easy.

@Ch_Himmelsbach @FredLambert Ps. AI does not work as Intelligence does, it is an entertainment program that has been designed to addict the user by always lying to them, so they hear/see what they want to hear/see... which does not have to be the truth.

@stanleywaite1 @FredLambert I know - hardware errors can’t be fixed. The challenge is to build great hardware! Quantum computing are also in the beginnings of the technological S-Curve. Maybe we need both - compute in Space and on earth. The race is open.

@Ch_Himmelsbach @FredLambert space is the worst place to put a data center that has constant breakages which will never be fixed easily... and will be easily replace when the latest tech comes out = quantum computers will replace all data centers in a heart beat !!! and they are already commercial.

@stanleywaite1 @FredLambert I partly agree. AI already works as Grok and ChatGBT show us. And we are in the humble beginnings of this technology. In Space, there is no electricity bill and SpaceX already has the biggest Sat-Fleet ever. SpaceX will go partly public soon.

@Ch_Himmelsbach @FredLambert Data centers in space is a stupid idea and Elon can't make AI as the science has no understanding what Intelligence is and it's not a one-dimensional token from an electronic spreadsheet called a blockchain !!!

@stanleywaite1 @FredLambert I understand. But the consumer base is growing rapidly. And the Network gets better every week. But I can understand your argument. SpaceX has enormous power, even more if they have data centers in Space and XAI. Extremly dominant in some critical sectors.

@FredLambert Model S 85 D from 2016. About 300.000 Kilometers just a few mechanical parts changes for less than 1000 Euros. And yearly the air filter, which I do mysself. Battery: still 89 %. Compared to the former Audi A6 less than 10 percent of maintenance and a lot time saved, too.

Cost is in the ballpark, but there's zero evidence that replacement is needed after just 100,000 miles on average. I've owned a Tesla with over 300,000 miles on one battery. Ultimately, the data will show that being closer to the average. You can be $TSLAQ without lying.

Elon Musk called these people "the best analysts in the world". They are projecting that robotaxi will have 6x more revenue the entire world ride-hailing, taxi, and mass transit markets combined. Their assumption is that it will not only swallow all those markets but somehow also increase them by 6x. Mind you that these "best analysts in the world" also projected just a few years ago that Tesla would deliver 18 million vehicles this year. Tesla would be lucky to deliver 2 million vehicles this year. There's no other way to say this. These people are either paid shills or morons. No way around it.
ARK Funds@ARK_Funds

The robotaxi market could hit $34 trillion by 2030. Who captures most of that value? @TashaARK outlines ride-hail economics in our Q1 webinar. Watch now!

@FredLambert The game may be different if we count in Starlink and data centers in Space. Cost for AI operations will go down significantly. But that’s not today, but in about three years. At the same time, Starlink 5G rollout will be strong.

So if you take X out of the equation, Musk forced SpaceX shareholders to buy xAI's Grok for $200 billion when it can't beat a model owned by a $100 billion company that is generating $67 billion in revenue per year.

xAI's new Grok scores worse than Xiaomi's Mimo model. Elon Musk just forced SpaceX to buy xAI for $250 billion. Xiaomi is valued at $100 billion, and it's not just an AI company; it is also a giant personal electronics brand and the fastest-growing electric automaker. Musk's real superpower is overinflating valuations.

@FredLambert Otters have many models and are delivering to every single market segment. After killing S and X, there are only 3 and Y of the S3XY Program left. But that small program is enough of ~ 1,8 million deliveries a year. Compared to other OEMs crazy. But economy of scale is great.

The idea that Tesla is alone in the race to develop end-to-end vision system for self-driving and delivering into consumer vehicles is officially dead. Like dead, dead. I tested Xpeng's VLA 2.0 in the streets of Beijing, and it is comparable to my experience of daily driving Tesla FSD v14. Xpeng is not charging $100 a month to drive this. It is inlcuded in its higher-trim vehicles and it already caught the attention of Volkswagen, which is going to integrate into its own vehicles - something Tesla hasn't been able to do despite trying. You can watch the full 40-minute drive on @ElectrekCo
