One of the best insights I’ve gotten was from @infantrydort . He told me that the GOP in DC fell in two camps: those who still value the institutions, and those who have been destroyed by the institutions. Critically, the Republicans who still believe in institutions, believe that those who have been destroyed by institutions are “broken” in some way. Call them uncivil. Call them crazy. Whatever.
