The Harry Potter franchise took 10 years to build to this moment between Michael Gambon as Dumbledore and Alan Rickman as Snape. You could feel the energy & emotion in the packed theater throughout the entire last 1/3rd of this film. Why touch it? Why mess with what’s perfect?

@FGO_TwitchTV @AkerJauna @AzZz1822 @CinemaTweets1 It’s not just adaptation issues, it was character changes that made characters much worse, cutting major parts and replacing them with weird scenes that weren’t present in the books and they did it numerous times, I enjoy the movies but I hope this show will fix those issues

There’s a different experience book vs adaptation that’s been obvious since the beginning.
If the movie left out parts, if it wasn’t crucial I don’t see the issue per say.

@derekbwriting -that other wise would be very stretched and/or would be much shorter than the other seasons, and while I agree the Snape casting was a very bad decision his race is not crucial to the story therefore I can’t see why it’d be a 100% deal breaker

@derekbwriting The only race swap so far as been Snape, every other character either didn’t have a race mentioned or was kept the same race, the extra details aren’t unnecessary as they were all mentioned in the books in conversation and adding them will help with the first few books/seasons-

Let's be clear. There's a lot of issues with this HBO Harry Potter series. Extra unnecessary added details, pointless raceswaps of minor characters that I, like many other Potterheads, could have overlooked. But Black Snape is such an insulting slap in the face it's a 100% deal breaker.

@RedTeamReview It’ll be very different from the movies, idk if you’ve read the books but the movies are extremely inaccurate so hopefully this series fixes that which would not only make it unique but could improve in areas the movies fell short

I will always cherish the memories I have as a kid watching those films, wanting to go to Hogwarts and all that
I'd rather they not remake it but even still I hope it turns out good and that the next generation feels the same sense of wonder I did with this
