UPDATE—18 year old boy dying of cancer finally gets his wish to hug his parents one last time. It took 57 hours—after federal judge ordered his parents' expedited removal from ICE detention. Terminally ill boy had been separated from his mom and dad for a total of 5 months.

I have deep sympathy for Martin Short and don't begrudge him anything he needs to tell himself to get throught the night. However, I reject the argument that suicide "can be the last stage of an illness". Suicide means self-murder and when we see a depressed person as having no culpability for murdering himself, we become part of the reason that suicide rates are increasing.

Since 2009, Oilers have had 10 head coaches…Quinn, Renney, Krueger, Eakins, Nelson, McLellan, Hitchcock, Tippett, Woodcroft and Knoblauch. Only McLellan (264) and Knoblauch (233) have lasted longer than 200 games. Maybe it is not just the coach at fault here…

Evan Bouchard scored 95 points and wasn't a Norris finalist because he's horrendous defensively, doesn't create his own offense, half of his points came on the power play and half of his assists were secondary. Without Connor McDavid, Bouch is a 50 point defenseman.
