New: Health sec writes to Leeds families saying he expects Ockenden inquiry into mat services to start reviewing cases by August. Letter also confirms my reporting from earlier this month (link in first comment) that an internal review ordered by Leeds has been cancelled.

The effect of Catherine McKinnell's proposal would be to: 1) deny many victims of avoidable harm access to legal advice 2) force us to rely on non-existant or inadequate NHS resources and therefore effectively deny us access to care. Awful stuff.

They only answer questions that they know in advance, easy ones, friendly ones in controlled environments. Mark Hackett (former Swansea Bay NHS CEO) was the same. The @WelshGovernment let them get away with it.

Oh dear, @SwanseabayNHS spent £20106 on communication advice in a few months around their scam maternity review and broke their own procedures when doing it. @WelshGovernment any accountability? Still £20k is small fry when you have a £50million deficit this year.

@FionaWinserRamm @LeedsHospitals This is almost identical to the approach @SwanseabayNHS took with their ‘independent’ review. Although Leeds seem to be taking secrecy to a whole new level. Why? What are they hiding? I imagine they will announce some of the people that did the Swansea review.
