One missed detail. One news event. Over $75,000 worth of funded prop accounts gone 💔 Here's is how I lost about $600 worth of prop accounts in less than 60 seconds. A $25k* 2 funded account. A $25k challenge. Gone The worst part? It wasn't the market. It wasn't manipulation. It wasn't my strategy. IT WAS ME 💯 I had a solid setup. My first trade hit breakeven exactly as planned. Then later, I found another high-conviction Gold entry during the New York session and executed it with just 1% risk. Then, at exactly 13:30 (UTC+1)... US CPI was released. I had forgotten to check the economic calendar. Within seconds, the slippage turned my planned 1% risk into a 9% loss. Three breach emails landed almost at the same time. That moment was hard and painful. But here's what separates professionals from amateurs: Professionals don't blame the market. They study their mistakes. Mistake: Ignored high-impact news. Consequence: Lost over $75k in prop accounts. Lesson: Risk management doesn't start with position size, it starts with preparation. This loss doesn't define me. It refines me.
