to sell my remaining shares, but instead on news $OPRA decided to smash through the 5,10,and 20 SMA's and my stop loss. Interestingly enough it parked for the day right above the Anchored VWAP from the most recent earnings (which I had charted for reference). Would have been nice

Few days late on posting this, but as I am fairly new to trading I thought it was a great example of a few of the different principles I've been learning. Sold a few share lots on the way up to lock in some profits and moved stop to B/E. I was going to trail the 5 and 10 day SMA

We are 16-months into this bear market. If you are feeling worn out and frustrated, know that so are many others in the market... and that's precisely what creates a major bottom. It may get worse before it get better. The key is to remain disciplined and not to lose sight of the goal; that is to keep your account intact so you have the majority of your capital available to deploy when the next bull market unleashes. Every bear market leads to a bull market, but only the disciplined stand the test of time and make the big money.

@LeifSoreide DKS, ARLO, and MAXN have been saving my week. Been a wild first year learning how to trade, but it has nailed home that I need to only trade the best setups that have good earnings and sales because days like today will turn the weaker names 180 degrees into paper cuts.

A cure for FOMO (fear of missing out) as markets bounce: go back and look at your weekly watchlist universe (all best technical setups that met your criteria). Do you see anything that broke out and stayed out? If the answer is NO, that should help you back off.
