It’s interesting how many ppl are upset about it online when in real life just about everyone I have talked to wants this …. Cause they are just tired of switching and how that can take weeks or months to adjust to. They honestly don’t care if it’s standard or DS …… just have one we go by.

That's not the right question, it's: "If you can't get what you want, what would you accept?" I'm a permanent DST advocate, but I'd accept permanent Standard because I want an end to the clock switching. Many standard advocates would rather have the status quo which boggles my mind.

People are not getting this. In January, most of the country gets roughly 9–10 hours of daylight no matter what we call the clock. Example: STANDARD TIME: ☀️ Sunrise: ~7:15 AM 🌅 Sunset: ~5:00 PM PERMANENT DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME: ☀️ Sunrise: ~8:15 AM 🌅 Sunset: ~6:00 PM That is the SAME amount of daylight. You did not gain sunlight. @Arkypatriot @Pnl0828 Because the later daylight benefits more people. Early morning daylight is barely taken advantage of where later evening daylight is. I understand the concern for roofers, but they can shift their schedule as needed.

We’re not gonna have a choice on where we live. If they do this bullshit it’s going to be for the entire country. No one cares about the farmers. No one cares about roofers. According to what I just read if we go on permanent daylight savings time by January, your sunrise will be 8:15 AM.

I run a business. A sports bar, JJ's Place. Yesterday 80% of the bar wanted the Turning point halftime show. The rest wanted Bad Bunny. To accommodate I put the TV's on half and half. The 20% started canceling the orders, taking to social media calling me a racist, being disrespectful to my staff, and leaving 1 ⭐️ reviews on Google and Yelp. Mind you the 80% who wanted the Turning Point halftime show weren't happy that Bad Bunny stayed on, but they didn't leave me a bad review, take to social media, cancel their orders, or disrespect my staff. It has become impossible to run a business. I support 3 generations of my family on a sole income, and try to accommodate everyone. The bar business is not what it used to be. Sad day.💔
