Before you write a review of a paper in which you say "It's mostly meh" (a direct quote), stop to consider that you might be talking to a grad student who spent years on the project and is now internalizing the social norms of their profession.

Our paper with Josh Jackson on whether global values have converged over the last 40 years is out: go.nature.com/4cN7XSN. We find that globalization and rising wealth did not result in uniform acceptance of 'Western values,' such as support for abortion and gay rights.
Nature Portfolio@NaturePortfolio

Cultural values may have become more different globally, but more similar regionally, over the past 40 years, according to a paper published in @NatureComms. go.nature.com/4cN7XSN

Behavioral peeps: Looking for info/name of following phenomenon. I feel worse about death caused by a car’s safety feature (the airbag explodes at driver) than from one caused by human error, or if it is caused by a car feature unrelated to safety.
