Agreed that Vanja probably could have gotten to that one as it wasn’t some bullet header but either way, a reminder that a giant sized keeper can be a blessing and a curse.
We really need to start consistently getting clean sheets again.

@AzzurriFanPhil It’s like they go into a defensive drill training mode. So weird. I’m not on board this Milinkovic-Savic train either. Silly to blame him for goal but he invited pressure and a chance for them with stupid balls out. I spotted Meret still in a foot cast so we have a wait on.

I wanted a North Macedonia then Sweden path for awhile. Since only one is possible now, give me North Macedonia for the Semi.

@Charlie_JFC I know Caprile wanted regular starts but, selfishly speaking, letting him go midseason and on a permanent basis based on the terms we set was a bad move for us.

Locker room theory (aside from any Lang+Neres drama): the keeper situation. BUT deeper than support for Meret.
We heard about it immediately after the 6-2. Alex obviously has friends and commands more loyalty specifically from the backline than many knew of before all of this.

Radical thought: treating the keeper like he’s a midfielder should have never been a priority. It’s another reason why so much of the ball is in our end in these matches.

@Charlie_JFC Sentimentally, I like showing faith in the guy but Guttierez was already making his Serie A debut at LB. Two debutants at San Siro was too risky. We saw it immediately.

Today was a great lesson in fighting the entire 90 minutes. Aside from the backline horror show at times, we came to play.
As for Milan, thought since the Summer that they’d be our competition. Let’s get some revenge in Supercoppa then at the Maradona.
