@agailtale The nearest Turkish city to Armenia looks exactly the same as Yerevan but with more mosques.

@Chartapert The dangerous thing about opening the border is that Armenians are going to realise how poor they are compared to those infidel Turks

The things Turkey does better: -Roads, tunnels, and highways -Local energy (wind, solar) -The major east/south cities are decent, it’s the slums/villages that remind me of Armenia -Fast construction for apartments -Gas stations are S tier -Better resource use (mines, farms)

@gvbrdghvnian I saw tons of apartments being rebuilt after the earthquake, but that was more in the south than the east from my memory.

@Chartapert Housing no tbh, but as I understand Erdo really managed to put college or some educational institution in every village which is very commandable

In other words, Eastern Turkey by itself is 30 Armenias put together in one larger, richer country.

@TheRumelian Some of the Kurdish villages I visited were pretty bad ngl. The nicer cities in the east reminded me of Armenia in a good way though.

@LazTurk121556 There are parts of Northern Armenia that look similar, it’s just poorer and smaller than Rize or anywhere on the Black Sea.

@Chartapert This is pretty much as far north east as you can get in Turkey. First two images are of Rize’s coastlines and a village in Rize’s mountains. The final two images are of Artvin. Both cities are on the Georgian border. Both are far prettier than anywhere in Armenia.

Who knew, in Tin Tin there is a cigarette brand called "Macedonia" or to be more correct they are "zigarettes" and the brand in cyrillic is called "mazedonia"

@sinnersbouquet Parts of Diyarbakır sounds pretty similar from what people have told me.

@Chartapert ok entire geographical region is not necessarily beautiful amazing world wonder BUT I'd say slums of overpopulated cities would be "scary soviet ermeni aesthetic" more, considering east is mostly rural and not densely populated
