The world is being reordered by those who act and those who define. If India wishes to be counted among the latter, it must ensure that its silence does not speak louder than its convictions. We are living through a moment when the rules of the international system are being rewritten in real time. Assassinations of leaders, the killing of civilians, open assertions of force—these are no longer aberrations but instruments. In such a world, silence is not neutrality. It is read, interpreted, and often misread as consent. India has long claimed a distinctive space in global affairs—not as an appendage to power, but as a voice shaped by its own civilisational experience and its history of speaking for sovereignty, restraint, and balance. That voice mattered because it was consistent, even when inconvenient. Strategic autonomy cannot mean adjusting our language to the hierarchy of power. Restraint has its place. Calibration is necessary. But when fundamental questions arise—about sovereignty, about the limits of force, about the protection of civilians—India cannot afford to be silent. A moral compass is not an ornament of foreign policy. It is its direction. Without it, realism drifts into accommodation, and autonomy into ambiguity. This war has damaged India’s interests in almost every practical sense. It has raised costs, narrowed diplomatic room, stressed shipping, complicated Chabahar, and injected fresh instability into a region vital to India’s economy and external strategy. Even if New Delhi can cushion the blow, it cannot plausibly claim that the blow itself serves India. The deeper question is whether India is willing to say so with sufficient clarity.

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.

#Iran, #India FMs discuss fegional fallout from US-Israeli aggression In a telephone conversation, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and his Indian counterpart, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, discussed regional and international developments. Araghchi briefed the Indian minister on the latest situation resulting from the acts of aggression and atrocities committed by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran, as well as the consequences for regional and global stability and security. He emphasized the firm resolve of the Iranian government, nation, and armed forces to exercise their legitimate right to self-defense against the aggressors. The Iranian Foreign Minister stressed the necessity for regional and international bodies and organizations to condemn the military aggression against Iran. Highlighting the importance and position of BRICS as a forum for developing multilateral cooperation, Araghchi deemed it essential for the institution to play a constructive role at the current juncture in supporting regional and global stability and security. During the call, India's Foreign Minister expressed his country's readiness to expand bilateral and multilateral cooperation within regional and international forums. He also emphasized the importance of finding a path to strengthen sustainable stability and security in the region as a collective necessity.

This will go down in history as one of the most reckless, most egregious actions committed by the USG. There is no justification for it. The ship was returning from a naval exercise in India. They could have been blockaded, prevented from reaching their home country. But this was a plain massacre, and it happened too close to Indian waters.

The world, Europe, and Spain have faced this critical moment before. In 2003, a few irresponsible leaders dragged us into an illegal war in the Middle East that brought nothing but insecurity and pain. Our response then must be our response now: NO to violations of international law. NO to the illusion that we can solve the world’s problems with bombs. NO to repeating the mistakes of the past. NO TO WAR. lamoncloa.gob.es/presidente/int…

Morgan Stanley just FIRED 2,500 people. Not because the company is struggling. They posted record revenue last year, $70.6 billion, and it was their best year ever. But they fired them anyway. Investment banking, wealth management, front office, back office and across all divisions. The CEO of Anthropic, the company building one of the most powerful AI systems on Earth, went on national television and said AI will wipe out 50% of entry-level white collar jobs. Entry-level law, finance and consulting. The exact jobs Morgan Stanley just cut. Last week, Jack Dorsey laid off 4,000 people at Block. Nearly half the company and his reason? AI tools make humans unnecessary. He said most companies will reach the same conclusion within a year. Morgan Stanley's own research team surveyed nearly 1,000 companies already using AI. They found an 11% job elimination rate, a 4% net headcount decline, and productivity up 11.5%. The machines are cheaper, faster and they don't need health insurance. Morgan Stanley itself predicted 200,000 European banking jobs will disappear in five years. And then they started cutting their own. Record profits, record layoffs while AI gets the credit and workers get the door. The man building the technology is telling you it's coming. The banks using the technology are proving it. And yet no one in Washington has a plan.
