"Uh, we're going to have to do a heart scan. It's either going to cost you $900 or $7,000. We'll let you know afterwards." Like, what? I'll just die.

@lukedsimmons @howertonjosh It comes across as too theatrical, in my opinion. Instead of thinking about the what the pastor is saying, I start second guessing whether he’s being authentic

@howertonjosh Yes. Your movie soundtrack example is exactly why I think it often backfires. Most of the time the music and the preaching don’t match. The incongruence makes it feel off. When it matches, it’s awesome.

Unpopular opinion 😬 Finishing a sermon with the keys player padding is counter-productive. The intention is an emotional connection to the big finish. Instead, it raises anxiety in the audience (he’s almost done) & overrides preacher’s vocal dynamic in the crucial part.

Agentic-first development seems to amplify ADHD symptoms because you never get into flow. Rather, you wait, wait some more, then try to get your head back into the game to validate a (sometimes overwhelming) pile of code output. Still, I prefer it

My day is full of moments where my 3 year old bursts into my office like this with “Look at me, Dad!!” And then you have to battle it out. Sword fight for who wins the house.

There has never been a single good software engineer laid off because of AI, maybe not a single employee in general

Watching the Super Mario Galaxy movie with my kids and this flick is a non-stop action dopamine hit. Doesn’t slow down. The storyline is terrible and there’s no character development but… every movie after this will be boring.

After owning both a LiDAR robot vacuum and LiDAR robot lawn mower, I can confidently say that Elon and the @Tesla_AI team made the right choice ditching LiDAR.

The excitement of how cool AI is for writing code has been replaced with boredom waiting for agent completion, and a lack of motivation. Turns out there really is joy in the journey.
