Excited to share what I'm working on as Visiting Fellow @OversightProject. The question I'm solving: why do Republicans vote against their own party... and their own voters on issues such as mass migration and SAVE ACT? Surprising early finding: FEC donations are only weakly correlated with voting behavior. Institutional affiliations (where senators trained, what orgs they've moved through, where they have membership) predict it far better. And almost nobody tracks that systematically. Building that infrastructure now. Major stress test: why Senate Republicans are slow-walking the SAVE Act despite 80% public support. Stay tuned.

Ditto. The political spectrum I'm concerned with is totalitarianism vs liberalism, not left vs right. The "hate speech" obsession is a the totalitarian urge to crush political dissent. It does not belong in the conservative/classical liberal vocabulary

What I love about TypeScript is being able to refactor hundreds of lines of front-end code or write an entire feature without firing up the browser, then having only two or three bugs to fix. But I still hate TypeScript

I'm 47 today. I feel great and have had a strong start to the year! I'm taking care of my health, being smarter with my time, working to reduce distractions and focus on being present as much as possible. Generally: Caring less about more and more about less. I recommend it.

@sam_h Lol, I love this. Wordpress, great for custom cars, but why are you building a motorcycle? Drupal, I’ve build 1,000,000 cars with this factory. What’s a motorcycle? Craft, here’s some steel and a welding tool, have at it. Definitely using this comparison in the future!
