@cashoutkdott We do shooter and passer in 5 man weave to 3 on 2. Not sure what level u reached but shooter never has shot and get first responsibility.

Whole life in drills it’s shooter get back, as a coach I usually preach my bigs to haul ass back and my guards to put pressure on the ball to slow down breaks,but on a long shot shooter should be the first one back IF the ball is getting pushed or picks up if he has time to

In 3 on 2, 2 on 1 drills, the passer gets back not the shooter. There is no way the shooter is expected to be first line of defense. Shooter should make effort after he finishes his shot but not be the first line of defense.
