They gave my brother a slot in his office. I was about to round up my service then, so my dad told him to submit my name. He disagreed and gave his girlfriend the slot instead, they employed her. A few months later, she cheated on him with one of his bosses and later married the boss. My brother and I are not on talking terms to this day.

I just found out that whenever i leave for work, my security man takes my key from where i keep it, opens my door and puts stuff like drinks/water in my fridge and takes them out before i come back. I left the house this morning and came back because i forgot something i was supposed to give to someone. I opened my fridge and i saw stuff that i didn’t put there. I asked him and he admitted to it. I don’t even know how to feel about it.

2018 after I finished my NYSC camping at Afikpo, Ebonyi State, I traveled down to Upper Iweka in Anambra. I had ₦19,800 my first pay on me at the time. I stopped to buy a wristwatch from one mallam for ₦1,500, and immediately I stepped away, some men approached me. They asked me to check an Android phone for ₦2,000. Before I knew what was happening, they had surrounded me more than five of them. I got scared and told them I wanted to leave, but they refused. Then they told me to check under my shoe. When I did, I noticed I had stepped on some black substance. They started saying if I left like that, my leg would swell. According to them, the only way to be safe was to empty my pocket and prove I didn’t take any of their phones. That was when it hit me they were after the money in my pocket. I started shaking, explaining that I was just a corper, but they didn’t care. The craziest part was that I could see policemen not too far away, yet these guys were still determined to collect my money. Out of nowhere, an elderly man came up behind me, slapped me, and grabbed my hand, shouting that I entered his vehicle without paying. At first, I was confused and even tried to argue, but he signaled me to stay calm and kept dragging me along. He took me away from them and led me straight to where I could board a bus to my destination. That man didn’t just help me he saved me. Since that day, Upper Iweka has been a place I’m very careful about.
