@socialsundayz I read the part you quoted to my husband and said it does not align with my understanding of biblical stance on sin and grace.

“Where a man sins and falls short of God's standard it shows an absence of grace.”- Daddy Poju Romans 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. The part I really assent to is that the believer has been separated ONCE AND FOR ALL from sin. This old sinful body has lost its attachment from us. Ephesians 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; Ephesians 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; Ephesians 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Our desire to entertain sin, is tied mostly around how clearly we see ourselves: I am THE NEW MAN, fully righteous and truly holy. I am seated where all grace and righteousness flows from. I do not fall short of God’s standard, because in Christ, I meet it. As for the old man, anytime he rears his head in my members, I will remind him that He is dead and buried in the grave, and his claim to me is a lie. The recommendations for our battle with sin has never been to take ownership for it, or acknowledge its validity, however glaring. Romans 7:17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. It has always been to remind ourselves we have been fully separated from it. That’s how we subdue the flesh

Yes and I wasn't even denying your point at all in my tweet. There of course is a definitive sense in which we have been made holy per Heb10:10 But that positional sanctification doesn’t negate the ongoing reality of being made holy in practice. I believe Scripture holds both together; a settled status and a progressive outworking. And it’s precisely in that latter sense that distinctions emerge. So even after granting your valid point, we still don’t all stand on the same plane when it comes to faithfulness and growth in holiness.

I think you meant righteousness. Holiness, strictly speaking, isn’t the free gift, it’s actually what we do with the free gift of righteousness. It’s the outworking of how we yield our members to the Lord. And in that regard, we’re not all on the same plane; some believers are simply more faithful in their walk than others.

@DrAlemz But the rich young ruler left him feeling sorrowful when Jesus told him to seel all he had , give to the poor and follow him. Even Judas who witnessed all that Jesus did still stole from the purse, betrayed Jesus and took his own life.

My Last tweet on this.... Check every encounter people had with Jesus in Scripture. No one truly met Him and remained comfortable in the life they were living before. The proud were humbled. The immoral repented. The greedy restored what they stole. The broken were transformed.

They strategically chose a pastor who is a professor of law and once the second in command in the country and Pastor Olumide who has been pastoring for 30years and also an astute business man to be on the panel with him.

Rev Olumide was visibly angry at Pastor Korede Komaiya in that panel discussion. I will assume the fact that fellow Believers in the person of Prof. Osinbajo and Rev. Olumide Emmanuel publicly contracting him in that manner will be a point of reflection and repentance.

6) Now I work in a multinational health system with doctors who went to medical schools in Egypt, England, India, Ireland, Nepal, Nigeria, Malaysia,  Ukraine etc. Here is what I have observed over the years:

4) Postgraduate training in OAUTHC and UCH again brought me in contact with doctors who had their primary medical qualification from various Nigerian Universities.

3) 2008, NYSC took me to Igbinedion Teaching Hosp. I worked there till 2011. While there, we had doctors who had their medical education in UNN, UNIBEN and UniIlorin. I had the opportunity to teach IUO medical students and was involved with the final year exam supervision

2) UniIlorin, OAU,UNILAG, LASU,LAUTECH,UNIBEN,OOU,ABUUNN, etc. Also, a significant percentage of the first set of medical graduates from Igbinedion Uni (IUO) were in my cohort of house officers at the time. In short, circa 2005/2012, UCH was mini Nigeria among house officers.

A thread 1) I obtained my medical degree from the University of Ibadan which is often described as the "best medical school in Nigeria I did housejob in the University College Hospital, Ibadan which at the time had medical graduates from different institutions in the country

This narrative is wrong! I’ve been seeing it all over the internet. Someone can love you, can WANT TO be with you but know in their mind they’re not ready for your definition of commitment. Isn’t it better they tell you the truth? The onus is on you to decide to wait or leave.
