Today I’m taking action to bring accountability to federal law enforcement like ICE. New legislation I’m announcing will require ICE to adopt rigorous training hiring standards, and for their agents to wear body cameras. These are best practices used by aw enforcement agencies use across our country. We need to bring transparency and accountability to ICE in order to make Americans safer.

@CoryBooker You want to end the starvation by sending arms to those that are killing the starving civilians waiting in line for scraps of food. You should resign.

Left and right, Republicans and Democrats, Americans agree: the starvation in Gaza is unacceptable.  You can defeat the Hamas terrorists and feed hungry children. You can do the urgent work of fighting to release the hostages and feed pregnant women. You can ensure security for Israel and achieve a just and lasting peace for everyone in the region. In no way are these goals at odds. In fact they are inextricably linked. Humanitarian aid now.

I feel if we don’t use this moment to depose the extreme right wing once and for all we will lose this precious chance to permanently change the region. We can’t squander this opportunity to make real change- take down the right wing, end the occupation. Make peace.

I am against the war. I want to see it end. It has been utterly horrible in every way. But I believe our protest movements are mostly counterproductive in their messaging. Bibi Netanyahu and his extremist government are responsible for this war. Not “Zionists”.

This is a family in crisis and the recreational cruelty I see on social media needs to be out of bounds. I know the impact this has on children. I'm calling for restraint because cruelty has substantial collateral damage. We can't ever forget that they didn't sign up for this.

Was just evacuated from the #DNC after pro-terrorist, anti-#Israel protestors grew violent, pepper spraying police officers and attempting to break into the building. Thankful to the police officers who stopped them and for helping me and my colleagues get out safely. (1/2)
