The collaborative training exercise held last night by Fort William, in conjunction with Lochaber Marina and Loch Linnie Cruise, was a great effort. They focused on a missing-casualty scenario, which underscored the importance of water safety and aligned with the Spring TAP.

Congratulations to all who completed the Stay on Side event at Fort William! It was a week filled with coaching and teamwork. Everyone demonstrated a strong work ethic and learned new skills. A big thanks to the teachers, parents, and partner agencies for their support!

Fort William Fire Station is hosting the SFRS "Stay on Side" course this week, engaging young people aged 12 to 18 in developing core skills, teamwork, and discipline in a safe environment, with input from Police Scotland and Highland Council. Have a great course !

Today, the crew from Lochaline Fire Station supported the village by supporting the serving of Christmas lunch to senior members at the village hall. This highlights WC Adams and his crew, who selflessly give their time to strengthen community bonds. Well Done !

Today we remember Firefighters John Davies and David Morris of Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service on the 32nd anniversary of their deaths at a fire in Hereford. Details of the incident can be found in the photos May they rest in eternal peace.

Today we celebrate the birthday of Firefighter David Cash from Kilchoan Fire Station, who has turned 70 today and is still going strong, having just passed his BA Refresher, what a fantastic achievement and I want to thank David for his steadfast commitment to his community.

A very sombre day yesterday, I attended the funeral of my friend and colleague Martyn Sadler. I was proud to represent SFRS alongside former colleagues from various FRS across the country. I also want to thank everyone in SFRS who has supported me during this difficult time.

An absolutely incredible record William! 50 years service to the community. It’s heartwarming that in these times such selfless dedication exists.

Firefighters Roderick Nicolson, William Oliver and Ewan Williamson tragically lost their lives in the line of duty. They are to receive an Elizabeth Emblem in recognition of their sacrifice. The emblem is awarded posthumously to family members.
