@DestinyDreadful It's the big wailing blob monster that follows you around the Dollhouse. You can hear it screaming and (even more terrifying!) giggling as it pursues you. Nightmare stuff, especially in VR!

@DestinyDreadful That's amazing lol. I played RE8 a few times in normal 2D, but when I tried it in PSVR2, despite knowing what was coming, it still absolutely terrified me. Zach ain't wrong!

Rubbish. Dead Format is made completely without AI at any stage in the process. The game is made by a single developer. The VHS effects were created running footage through actual VHS players. The effects were hand sculpted in clay and latex. Support human artists.

Watching 28YearsLater for the 2nd time, theres so much to appreciate here. We’ve seen plenty of father-son/ father-daughter team-up dynamics in a genre entry. But here, what starts as a father-son coming of age tale , shifts into such a strong Mother-Son journey, simultaneously brutal, tender & poignant at the same time. How great is Jodie Comer here with such a limited screen time, and that kid Alfie Williams… 👌🏻 Chemistry is truly key.

@CheapSpam @Timobros Murphy subbed for Elbow and Iggy Pop ( BBC6), did his "songs from under the stairs" ( radio show BBC6,) Cillian Murphy's Limited Edition (BBC6) from 2012- 2021. He played tracks from Young Father's from the beginning. Murphy is a longtime friend of Flood ( U2 producer)

That Danny boyle is almost 70 and keep inventing not only Visual but absolutely Mind bending , lobe assaulting Aural approach to filmmaking is a testament that he is an absolute cinema GOAT. 28 YEARS LATER is not only one of the most beautifully shot film Ive seen this year, its also the gnarliest & most viscerally meditative trip , like some sort of fucked up Koyaanisqatsi/genre mash-up.

@MoiaBeemer @Timobros How far back is way, way back, as I know Boyle obviously had Young Fathers on 2017's T2-Trainspotting soundtrack and also worked with them to turn a couple of tracks into more score-like versions for the movie (for example, Dare Me, in one of that movie's best moments).

@CheapSpam @Timobros You may want to credit Cillian Murphy for that. Young Father's is one of his favorite bands. Boyle was listening to Murphy's BBC 6 radio shows from way, way back. Murphy's new movie STEVE features Little Simz with a Ben Salisbury Geoff Barrow score.

@Timobros It's the biggest masterstroke of the movie for me, when you see what the bone temple from the poster actually is and what it represents. I love the first half to bits, but the way it gives over to empathy and compassion in the second is just so wonderful. Perfect film.

I believe that an an unforgivingly brutal movie has to earn its brutality by capping it with moments of pure compasion, that birthing scene & the night scene with Ralph Fiennes character made me tear up. Just absolutely bonker scenes drenched with so much humanity. The sheer skill of storytellimg & filmmaking displayed here is terrifying, to have our central character be a 12 year old boy and making this a coming of age tale is pure genius. All under 2 hours. Holy shit.
